Be Remindful

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how Be Remindful (“we”, “us” and “our”) handles personal information in connection with this website, enquiries, breathwork services, event bookings and newsletter subscriptions. Be Remindful is based in Sydney, Australia. For privacy enquiries, contact Daniel Augustine using the details below.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, information may include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and organisation.
  • Messages, questions, booking details and information you choose to provide about a session or event.
  • Your first name, email address and subscription preferences when you join our newsletter.
  • Order and transaction information supplied by our booking or ticketing providers.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referral source and interactions with the website.

We collect information directly when you contact us or complete a subscription, booking or enquiry form, and from the service providers involved in those actions. If you submit a Google Ads lead form, we receive the information you submit so we can respond to your enquiry.

Please avoid putting medical records or sensitive health details in advertising forms or newsletter fields. If health information is needed to discuss session suitability or support safe participation, we will explain its purpose and seek your consent where required.

2. How we use information

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange consultations.
  • Organise and deliver sessions, events and related communications.
  • Manage bookings, payments, cancellations and refunds through the relevant providers.
  • Send newsletters and updates when you have subscribed or otherwise agreed to receive them.
  • Understand website use and advertising performance, maintain security and improve our services.
  • Maintain business records and meet applicable legal obligations.

You can browse the website without making an enquiry or subscribing. If you do not provide information needed for a booking or enquiry, we may not be able to complete that request.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, with measurement associated with Google Ads, to understand visits, referral sources and relevant actions. Depending on the tools and settings in use, these services may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to measure activity and advertising effectiveness. Google handles information under its own policies.

Copying our email address does not send an email or submit an enquiry. A measurement of a copy action or booking-link click, where configured, does not by itself confirm that an email was sent or a booking was completed.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser, manage advertising preferences in Google My Ad Center, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These controls have different scopes and may not stop every form of technical data collection. Blocking cookies may affect some booking or website features.

4. Service providers and sharing

We use external services to operate the website and deliver the functions you choose to use. Relevant providers include:

  • Calendly for consultations and session scheduling.
  • Humanitix for public-event ticketing and checkout.
  • Mailchimp, an Intuit service for newsletter subscriptions and email delivery.
  • Google for analytics, advertising and related business tools.
  • Replit for website hosting and technical infrastructure.

Information may also be handled by the email and payment services involved in your enquiry or booking. Full payment-card details are handled through the relevant payment provider rather than entered into a payment form operated by this website. Each provider has its own privacy practices.

We may share information where needed to deliver a service you request, with advisers assisting our business, with your consent, or where required or permitted by law.

5. Overseas handling

Some providers operate internationally and may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate. Locations depend on the provider and can change. The linked provider policies explain their international data handling arrangements.

6. Storage, security and retention

Information is held in the email, booking, ticketing, newsletter and other business systems used to provide our services. We take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure, but no online service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including responding to enquiries, delivering services, maintaining business records and meeting legal requirements. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements and provider backup arrangements.

7. Newsletter and marketing choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email, or contact us to update your preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about a booking or service you have requested.

8. Access, correction and privacy requests

Contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, or to ask about deletion or withdrawing consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will consider requests within a reasonable time and explain if a legal obligation or other applicable exception prevents us from fulfilling a request.

For information held independently by a booking, ticketing or other external provider, you may also need to contact that provider directly.

9. Contact and complaints

If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact Daniel Augustine at daniel@beremindful.com. Please describe your concern and how you would like us to respond. We will review it and respond within a reasonable time.

If your concern is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for information about available complaint options and whether your matter is within its jurisdiction.

10. Other services and policy updates

External websites and the separate Remindful breathing app may have different data practices. This policy describes this website and the enquiry, booking and newsletter activities above; it does not describe every feature of the separate app. Review the privacy information supplied with any external service you use.

We may update this policy as services or practices change. The current version will be available on this page with its last-updated date.
